This year I've been busy!

Tomorrow I have a night shift at my work, and it tends to be DEAD from 4-10 so I'm a little worried about being bored, as usual.
The only station we get is some messed up one that plays the same songs over and over, and they aren't even all that good. So I said I'd make a couple CDS.. but the problem is that the songs have to be reasonable for work, so if customers heard it it'd be okay.. and they can't be depressing because who wants to work to that? And they can't be like.. totally lame. Help?

Christmas is coming up, and I've almost finished my shopping. It's hard, with so many family members. My one co-worker said that her family did a Secret Santa thing so that they didn't have to buy so many gifts... It's a neat idea, but even though expensive, I love buying gifts. I really did go nuts this year. All of my savings for my new laptop pretty much.

Another post.. for no reason. Just to give you all an update on my life.
With the Christmas issue, it's gotten worse. My dad *rolls eyes* has informed me that because my sister is 'not welcome' any long at my mom's place, that if I go, he'll be 'disappointed' in me. Oh the drama.
My sister loved the gift I gave her. Since she loves CSI (along with me, I shall have to visit her more often)I bought her the complete 5th season. My uncle bought her the sixth and a gift card. Trying to show me up!
My birthday party with friends will be on Halloween night, and the next day I'll be having my 'potluck birthday dinner'. I'm supposed to tell people to bring what I like, but I really don't care what they bring. My grandad, grandma, aunt, uncle, my two cousins, sister, dad and his girlfriend, my 'second' family and my 'Garry' will all be there. I'm very excited.
The guy that asked me out... well let's just say things didn't work out between us. And *gasp* it wasn't even my fault this time! Well sort of. We're just better off friends.

I know that I signed up to write a fic for the ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) hpgw_ficafest, and believe me, I did intend on writing it. In fact I have over half done, but then I came to a rough patch and my life was hectic so I never got around to finishing it. I do feel rather bad about that.. maybe some day I'll finish it, though I won't be posting it for hpgw_ficafest because well.. it's already a month and some late.
(And want to know something extremely pathetic? I just spent an hour trying to figure out how to make Hpgw_ficfest come with a little linkable icon.. only to find out it's the same code as for a user. *death glare at world*)

I know it's been a while but I don't really like posting my life in Journal. But today I am just too pleased to not say anything.
Usually I spend Christmas with my dad and my mom's side of the family. But this year I'll be spending Christmas at my mom's with her and my grandma. Very exciting.
Today I'm going to be applying for a new job. Wish me luck. ^^
Also I'm going shopping for my younger sister because she's having her birthday shortly. October 5th. She already told me what she wants so I'm confident that my gift will be pleasing. =]
What else? My birthday is on November 1st, so this year I've decided to have some friends over on Halloween. Haha we're square. We're not really into getting drunk very often so we've decided to all chip in and buy a ton of different candy. We'll be old-fashioned high watching movies. ^^
Oh and a guy that I've been crushing on for a while now asked me out to a date Saturday. I had to tell him that I'm busy today because well, resume, sister, and I have company coming over. But, we're going out Sunday. A double date with my friend and her boyfriend.

I'd like to be able to read people's thoughts. It always bothers me, and I can get so nervous wondering 'what is she/he thinking about?' and if I just knew, that'd be great. ^^

I don't believe in regrets. Life is too short for them, and if you spend time thinking about what could have been, you miss out on what -is-.

Hmm.. Maggie from Inkheart/Inkspell. The only book I place before Harry Potter. I think it'd be neat to be able to read from a book and bring the characters to life, plus she got Farid. <3

Japan. Although I want to go to London, Japan seems so interesting. I have a friend who just moved from there, after a three year stay, and he can't wait to go back.

Hey. ^^ I just changed the theme of my Journal. All pink! Hah! Anyways.. I've got a question to ask...
When people post links to.. their fanfics, or something, they make it on a seperate page.. like a cut or whatever. Can someone tell me -how- to do that? So I can post my fanfiction on my own Journal when I start writing more?
